Hi
If we archive old mailbox stuff to a .pst file but the user has the archive
showing in Outlook folder view (but not open) does the archive get counted
in the mailbox size?
And if not does it when the user opens the archive?
Thanks
Theo

Messages in a PST should never get counted in the mailbox size. The only
size issue with PST files is that pre-Outlook 2003, there were size limits
of around 2GB or 16,000 items. I'd recommend against adding items to a
PST well before you hit the 2 GB limit, maybe at around 1.75 or so - if
you go over the size limit, you're likely to lose data.

Outlook 2003 running in Unicode mode eliminates the size limits.
