Hi all,

I want to migrate a sharepoint team services to a windows sharepoint
services server.

The sts server is a windows 2000 with msde.

The new wss server (on new hardware, it's a different server) is a windows
2003 small business premium server which includes a sql server.

The logins on the windows 2000 server are local accounts, I heard this gives
problems with the migration, is that correct?

For the new server, I want the accounts on the server itself, there is a
domain controller in the network but I want everything separated with this
server.

Can somebody give a good step by step guide to set up the new server and
migrate it?
The guide at ms is quite fragmented I found for the purpose of upgrading,
not step by step and it's quite long too (I don't have that many time).

I read about smigrate.exe but how is it done exactly? do I have to extend
all the website first to sharepoint sites and then migrate or just start
IIS and let smigrate.exe do it's job?

I also want to use sql instead of msde.

Are there limits in licencing on a ms 2003 smb premium server for sharepoint
with sql? Is the number of connections or users or whatever limited?

Thanks!
