Drew,
You need to run MOM Setup on the authoring users' computers and choose only
User Interfaces to install. This will install the Administrator console and
the Operator console. The Administrator console should be used to author
management packs.

This is done by placing the users in the various MOM user groups. If you
place the users in the MOM Admins group, they will have access to all of the
nodes in the Administrator console, including the Administration node (where
computers are added and Global Settings are configured). If you place the
users in the MOM Authors group, they will not have access and won't see the
Administration node but will have access to the remaining nodes including
the Management Packs node where rules and rule groups are created, as well
as computer groups, tasks, scripts and other management pack components. If
you place users in the MOM Users group, they will not see or have access to
either the Administration or Management Pack nodes. They will only be able
to see and access the node where the various consoles can be launched.
Please let me know if you have further questions.

I found that if a user is domain admin, that user automaticaly has full
access to the MOM admin console.
Is there someone who knows how to disable domain admins to have full
access.
I want that only the users I define in the 3 groups (admin, author,
user) have access to MOM |
