WSS2.0 SP2 rectifies the "all unassigned" flaw. I've tried to run the
"SharePoint Central Administration" site on the same IP address and port as
the "Default Web Site," using a host header name. The test has gone
swimmingly.
Can more experienced hands than I, perhaps Microsoft people eavesdropping on
this NG, comment on this configuration?
Is it safe to run the "SharePoint Central Administration" site on a
non-randomly generated port, in the afore-said configuration? |
