Virtual Server upgrade |
|
|
Hi,
When I go in the 'Virtual Server List' page under the Central Administration
site, I see my virtual server and next to it says upgrade. If I click on the
server it opens a help screen with instructions on how to upgrade. My version
is 6.0.2.6361. Should I be upgrading based on the instructions? I am sorry,
but I am new to Sharepoint and want to make sure.
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you are unable to manager your SharePoint virtual server, if on
the page that lists all your virtual servers you see your sharepoint server
and a version of 6.0.2.6361 and then click on the sharepoint virtual server
name and get the help screen, then something is not right, because instead
of help you should be redirected to a page that allows you to manage that
virtual server.
I would suggest you backup your current sharepoint site and dbs, and then
install WSS SP2, which may fix this problem.
