Hi,

I posted a similar question in the SBS General newsgroup but I'm trying to
get as many expert opinions as I can get.

I'm about to migrate an old aging SBS 4.5 to a new Dell server running SBS
2003.

I have 27 users plus even more mailboxes (say 33-35), and lots of public
folders to migrate. I'm not too worried about the data but I have to move
approx 300GB to the new server, mostly over a 100baseT network. I'll have at
most 2 days to complete this task.

It seems there are two ways of doing the migration: Follow MS migration
strategy and use the tools provided
OR
just do a clean install, create all new user accounts, restore mailboxes
from .pst files, etc, etc.
I keep waffling between the two and I need to decide in the next couple of
days which metod I should use.

1. given the specs above, which of the two methods would be faster?

2. Which of the methods would be safer?

3. What are the risks of each?

4.Which would you choose and why?

5. Am I better off just staying in bed all weekend?

Any other advice or input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ric
