Hi,

I am new with MOM , i just installed MOM 2005 Workgroup on a Lab network.
one server is windows 2003 server SP1, i choose this one as my MOM server.
the second server is also windows 2003 SP1 with SQL 2000 SP4 and Exchange
2003 SP1.
The agant is installed on the second server and i see the event on the
operator console. Now i would like to use email to recieve mail for any error.
I did create a operator en add him to some notifications group. but still i
do not get any e-mail. is there some extra staps?
could anyone send me info on this subject?

You need to enter the smtp server ip address or FQDN in the global settings
in the admin mmc. That smtp relay needs to allow your management server to
relay.

Also be sure that you have specified a Notification response for the rule as
I believe someone mentioned in an earlier thread.
