How to remove a workstation... |
|
|
Hello,
When we look at our network via My Network Places, we see our domain name
and the machines connected to the network under this folder.
We also see a machine under Workgroups which is not joined to the domain.
We can see the machine name associated with it...my question is this, how
can we disconnect this machine from the system administratively?
Any advice or thoughts greatly welcome,
Gary |

Unless those are shortcuts they will go away eventually, often taking up to
a day. They can be from VPN connections or users connecting non domain
computers to the network which may be the bigger area of concern. --- Steve

Yes, I understand that they will eventually disappear but my question was
can they be knocked off the network once they have been spotted?
TIA,
Gary

I have never come across a method to manually edit the browse list. ---

Gary, I think I have misunderstood your question. What is your goal - to
prevent them from ever accessing the network or how to "disconnect" them
when they are detected?? --- Steve
