Hello, Im an LCS newbie. Im trying to get the installation of LCS 2005
sp1 up and running in my lab environment and hope to deploy in
production in a couple of weeks. I used an internal CA in the lab; and
when I had to connect using a client; I had to manually import the
client certificate from the CA and install it on my desktop.
Is there any way to avoid that?
we have over 500 users; and it would be tedious to get all of them to
install the certificate inorder to use LCS.
Would using a Public certificate solve this problem? These are users
who connect to the environment using a VPN.

i think your problem is about deploying certificate chain of your CA..

as i know, if your network has Enterprise Root CA, client computers(logged
on Domain) download and install certificate chain automatically.....

but if your CA is Stand-alone type, refer the following...

it is acomplished by "certmgr.exe" but you must create a batch file or Scipt
file and you must deploy this file to all client machine.

1. create certificate chain file (*.p7b) from your CA web site

2. your created batch file contain below command
certmgr.exe -add -all "*.p7b" -s -r localMachine Root
