Hi Rick,
sounds as if the link is stored as unmanaged link.
Please verify the following article on how this could have happend:

We've just begun to encounter this issue and it's not one that we can
easily
duplicate. A client has begun to run into problems when linking posts
when
using the MCMS channel navigation pop-up dialog.
She selects her text to hyperlink, navigates to her target page through
the
server channel hierarchy, selects the post or channel then selects OK.
The link works fine on our Authoring server however when it gets deployed
to
the Production server her link now has a duplicate site root channel in
her
URL:
example: http://sitename/sitename/news/employee/post.htm
When I test this issue using her templates and channel I do not encounter
this odd behavior. She was having no problems up until about 2 weeks ago.
We are not seeing this on other root channel sites/posts either.
Any idea what may be causing this?
Thanks in advance!
