I am trying to move our sharepoint database to a new sql instance running on
a sql box behind a firewall. The instance is running through port 1930 (the
default is on 1433).

When I try to point CMS 2002 to the new database I am typing in the server
name as <server_name>\<instance_name> and am getting an error that the sql
database cannot be found. I also tried using several other names such as just
the server name, the server name:port or the ip address as well, and none of
them seem to work.

I have been looking through the doc's about this and have been unable to see
that there should be any problems around doing this...do you know if there
are any fixes for this problem, or if I am doing it incorrectly?
