I would like to implement Dfs in our network and I right now stuck with
an ACCESS DENIED error message on my clients.

I have 2 Win2003 Sp1 Domain Controllers just recently upgraded to 2003
mode. My file server runs in W2K Sp4 with 147 GB HDD RAID1 with only
less than 5 GB remaining. We recently added a 300 GB HDD RAID1 and our
solution to the our problem with the least disruption in services is
implement Dfs so that we can transfer some of the users' home drives to
the new HDD without them knowing the difference.

After creating the Dfs root using the Dfs admin tool on the DC, and
pointing the target to the file server's new partition, i created the
links pointing to the old 147 GB partition. After this is done, the Dfs
root now looks more like the old I: drive with all the folders which my
users are used to seeing. I modified my login script so that their I:
drive now points to my \\domain\dfs root instead of the \\server\share.

But lo and behold, they get ACCESS DENIED when they tried to open any
folder inside the Dfs root. I don't have any problem accessing the
folders because I am domain admin, but domain users can't access any. I
even tried giving EVERYONE Full control access but no go. I also tried
giving my domain users ownership of the physical folder but to no
avail.

What am I missing?
