Certificate problem on Access Proxy |
|
|
Hi,
I am having trouble getting a proper certificate for my AP. I used a
Standalone CA to issue a certificate to my LCS server and it works fine, but
when trying to issue a certificate to the AP it complains that the
certificate must be both Server and Client authentication enabled.
I have looked at the documentation from MS about LCS Certificates, and they
mention a type of certificate with an OID 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1. However I can't
get this to work either, when specifying "Other" as certificate type and then
typing in the OID from the docs. The AP still coughs up the same error.
Can anyone help or shed some light on this ?
Best Regards,

When you are configuring your request, select "Other" under Intended
purposes and put "1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1, 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.2" in the OID field
(minus the quotes, of course). You will want the FQDN of the server in the
certificate request versus just the NetBIOS name.
