Good day,
Is there anyway to link to a customer application (.exe) through Sharepoint
and execute the application when the user clicks on the link?

Hi,
Yes, you can use a "Form Web Part" with a "<a href="file://[path to your
exe]>Open</a>" code. The exe application need to be in the local computer of
the user.
