We have a Newly created 2003 AD. We Migrated users and groups using ADMT. I
have data on the old NT 4.0 PDC that I would like to put onto the new 2003
DC. What is the best way to do this? If I use the File server migration
tool only the permissions from the NT 4.0 domain will be on the files. Can I
run the ADMT on the old NT PDC?

Hello,

Generally, we use File Server Migration Tool to migrate the shares with
permissions from NT 4.0 to Server 2003.

For more information, please refer to the following articles.

Microsoft File Server Migration Toolkit

Overview of the Microsoft File Server Migration Toolkit

view.mspx

Based on your description, I am afraid that I cannot entirely understand
the dilatation on your side. Could you please clarify it more clearly,
such as:

1. What kind of data is that you want to migrate?

2. What is the result when you use FSMT to migrate the data from NT 4.0 to
2003 AD?

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ada Pan
