What Host Integration Server can do? Is there any documentation about that?

At a very high level...

- Provide connectivity between windows platforms/systems and ibm
mainframes/as400's

- Password synch between distributed and mainframe systems

- Single Sign On between distributed and mainframe systems

- ODBC and OLEDB drivers for DB2 access

Plenty of doco on the site Charles pointed you at.
