I have a few subnets and I am primarily concerned with vpn users over a .120
subnet, another section of the office over a .50 subnet, and the main
section which is a .10 subnet.
I have run browstat and wound up disabling all the browser services on the
member servers just to get some control over this.
I then see that the servers I want to be elected are being elected.
But on the .50 subnet I have a dc there and that shows as the master browser
just fine.
But it appears that the updates between the primary dc in the .10 subnet and
the dc in the .50 are not updating each other because "my network places are
not updating".
This is a 2003 domain with wins/dns on each of these dc's. I have other
sites as well but primarily I don't care about the others because we don't
do much with them but if they can get updated as well then that would be
great.
ANy ideas?

Are the WINS servers set to replicate? You need to be able to get to
master browsers in other subnets to build a network-wide browse list.

Have you set up these various sites and their servers in AD Sites & Services.
Are you sure that all DCs can see each other and are replicating?

Yes, all the sites are, and it is one flat domain.
Replication is working fine.

Then it is a matter of debugging the browsing situation. There is a
troubleshooting guide in KB188305. You can use browstat from the system
tools or browcon (see KB 818092).
