Public IM connectivity issues (another one) |

Hi,
A client of mine has recently purchased the lcs 2005 SP1 public im
licenses and i have gone about setting this up.
My current situation is...

Assuming the PIC for MSN is enabled. Verify you're able to connect inbound
from the internet (MSN) to your pic.

From the logs you mentioned, error 0x80002751 can be looked at using the
reskit tool lcserror.exe
C:\>lcserror 0x80002751
0x80002751 -> None matched

0x2751 -> A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host.

unreachable host.
federation.messenger.msn.com:5061 could not be reached by the AP using the
address 65.54.227.249:5061
When you say you can telnet from the host, you may not be using the same
source IP. If your firewall isn't allowing your external AP IP access out,
this can be the problem (if your default IP/NIC is the inside NIC/IP, then
telnet won't replicate the AP making the connection out from the external
NIC/CIP).
Hopefully this helps provide more background.

today i had the nice event of coming online and finidng that everything
