Create MOM console |
|
|
Hi, I'm a new administrator of MOM... I have a question for you: how can I
create a MOM console for monitoring a specific set of servers of my LAN?
It's possible that my question is quite stupid , but I'm a MOM dummy...
Thank in advance.

Hello,
Thank you for your posting!
You can right click the "Console Scope" in the Administrator Console, and
then Create a new Console Scope for specified Managed Computers and who can
monitor it.
Please also refer this blog for the Read only mode.
http://blogs.technet.com/momteam/archive/2005/08/22/409618.aspx
If you have any questions, please feel to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance.

What is the easist way to do this?

OK Daniel , I understand your suggestion and I read the blog post.
I have a question about the statement in the blog: "....... If you want to
have some users have a read-only experience and some users to have a writable
experience in the web console you will need to set up multiple web sites and
point the users to the appropriate one depending on what you want them to
do.............."
But How can I do this?
In IIS I suppose that I have to create a web site as the same of Microsoft
Operations Manager 2005 Web Console. IS it right?
Thanks in advance
