I'm sorry to repeat this question, but I lost the answer.

I have a client who licensed SBS2003 but had to install SBS2000 because of
an application incompatibilty (AIM for Windows from LanData Systems). With
growth, the client has purchased additional CALs and got the necessary
product key through eOpen. However, that key can't be used to install the
CALs on SBS2000. We need to get an SBS2000 CAL install diskette
replacement. How is that done?

Thanks.

Q. How can I obtain CALs for Small Business Server 2000 or previous
versions of the product now that Small Business Server 2000 CALs have been
discontinued?

A. You will need to purchase Windows Small Business Server 2003 CALs,
apply your downgrade rights, and then contact your reseller to order
fulfillment media at a nominal fee. You need to order the fulfillment media
separately since Windows Small Business Server 2003 CAL packs do not contain
the floppy disk that is necessary to deploy licenses on Small Business
Server 2000. The Small Business Server 2000 floppy disk also works with
previous versions of Small Business Server.

In other words-> call (800) 360-7561 (in the US) and ask for SKU 807-00144
(have your MOLP agreement handy).

I talked to Microsoft starting with the 800-360-7561 number for
"supplemental and replacement parts." What a zoo.

7 transfers and an hour later, the best I have is that the SBS2000 CAL SKUs
are completely obsolete and can't be obtained by any method. Conversation
with Tech Support ended when they wouldn't talk without a $245 charge,
despite the fact that my customer purchased Open Value Licensing for two
years and that time hasn't expired.

CDW does have the media kit but it's only the media, not any SBS2000 CALs
themselves. That brings up the question: will the SBS2003 CAL product key
we have work with the SBS2000 media kit to add the CALs?

You only need the SBS 2k CAL media kit (i.e. the actual media)... the floppy
has everything you need to technically add the licenses.

From a legal perspective... the licenses are the SBS2k3 CAL license (you are
only excersing you downgrade rights).
