My clients can log on from diffrent locations but only from one
location when they log on the status is unknown and is not able to chat
with any one else nor able to add contacts, when adding contacts it
gives an error

Thanks in advance.

It would probably be worth enabling client logs (can be done via the
registry) in order to see what errors the client is seeing. I'm curious if
your client is going through some form of a proxy that is closing the client
connections after requests such that the server can't reliably reach the
client. Client logs should tell the story or at least point us in the right
direction.
