Task Monitoring |
|
|
Is there a way to setup mom to monitor tasks in task manager. We have several
applications that are constantly open. Can we monitor those applications to
make sure they are running besides looking at the process. Would rather have
it look at the applications part of task manager and let me know the process
is running. |

You can use a WMI event provider to look at a process, and if it is not up,
alert you.
I think there is an example in the SDK or an article on how to do this at
myitforum.com or momanswers.com.
Pretty simple process and it works.

Hello,
Thank you for your posting!
You can try to use Management Pack Wizard to create a management pack for
these services. And then import the Management Pack and Add the suitable
Computer Group to it.
If you have any questions, please feel to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance.
