Good morning !
We have some problem during the Remote Environment assignment,
in the relative tab of the object properties.
We get this error :
"(5037) property Hostedby of the object has not been set."
This is the scenario :
The deploy of the applications has been made with Application Center,
The our web-servers (Windows 2003) are shape in a NLB Cluster,
we only have the problem on one of the five servers in the cluster.
We had uninstall and reinstall the product (HIS2004 server), and we made a
manual apllication deploy, but we still receive the same message error.

Thanks Lawerence.

Lawrence,

The below is from the HIS 2004 readme and matches your error message...

---

8.7.3.3 TI components created using the Component Services snap-in show up as
WIP objects but are unusable
If you use the Component Services snap-in to add WIP components to a new COM
application, the components will be created and will appear in the WIP Objects
node. However, if you attempt to assign the object to a remote environment, you
might receive the following (or similar) error message: (5037) Property hosted
by the object has not been set.

And you should have had an event log message saying that it is no longer
supported to use just the COM+ snap-in :-)

Have you tried running a call? If the call fails, then there is something
wrong with the registry entries (probably due to TI manager). If the call
succeeds there is something funny wrong with the TI manager (not seen
before). We DID have 5037 errors a long time ago which were related to ATL
problems, can't imagine why you would run into those (maybe you have
different versions of ATL on the machines :-) ).

Could you add the RE and TIC registry entries to this topic? Cleansing them
of any sensitive info first.

I don't find any message in event log.
Sometimes, I don't receive the error message (5037), and I can achieve
the configuration of the object by setting the the RE and the application
in the relative tab.
But when I close and re open the TI manager, the application tab in the
properties of the object is always misconfigured.
I checked the Cedar/RE/TIC folder in the registry and all seem ok.

Hi Bob,
I tried your suggest, the call failed, and we decided to
remove all package from component services, unistall all
application, and conseguently remove all key from the registry.
We achieved the goal because now the object is not misconfigured
and all works.

many thanks
Lawerence
