Event Viewer Logs |
|
|
We are currently evaluating Mom 2005. I would like to know if Mom stores all
event logs from the event viewer for each agent she monitors centrally in her
database somewhere? If so, where in the database? Thanks. |

I can't speak authoritatively on this, but my understanding is that it does
not. MOM only captures events it is specifically told to, via the Event rules.

Hello,
Thank you for your posting!
The Rules used to collect, process and response to the events from the
managed computer, also all of the data are stored in the MOM database
OnePoint
If you have any questions, please feel to let me know. I am glad to be of
assistance.

Brad,
Event logs are not stored in the Onepoint database. Individual events
are sent to the management server when they meet the criteria of rules
that have been enabled through management packs. Generally, this occurs
for events that trigger alerts but that does not have to be the case.
