User Profile Migration |

Hello,
Can anyone help regarding this small issue on migrating
local user profiles so migration can go as silently as
possible.
I am using ADMT v2 to migrate users from domaina to
domainb but still to access resources on domaina. Is
there an easy way of achieving this. |

I have migrated sid history but i am requiring the same
profile to be used when i login to domainb.
Is this possible?

Hi Richard,
When you use ADMT to migrate the computer account, there is checkbox called
User profile, tick this checkbox and follow the wizard to finish. For more

If you have already migrated computer account, you can use a command-line
tool called Moveuser.exe to migrate the user profiles. The Windows 2003
Server Resource Kit has a tool "moveuser.exe" that will re-associate a
profile with another user account. It's specifically for
this scenario where you need to move a profile from local -> domain. One
thing to note is that this can't be done while the user is logged on. It
can however be done remotely so it could be scripted.
