After downloading 4-5 security updates/fixes a few days ago, we have
completely lost the internet connection to sbs03 server. I've read somewhere
to try setting the IE security settings to all DEFAULT. Did that, and still
no net connection. The latest update/fix that I downloaded (using my laptop)
and installed in sbs server was fix # 898060, which seemed to fit the
description of the problem we have. But that didn't get us back the net
connection either. Any suggestion(s) would be appreciated.

can you ping a public IP? If yes, can you ping yahoo.com? if not, check the DNS status using nslookup.
