terminal services installation |
|
|
I have one sbs 2003 and one windows 2003 standard
I would like to setup terminal services on win 2003.
Have installed the terminal server licensing on the sbs2003.
have done a test on the win2003 , but it give's me only 13 days left for
activation of the cals. would that not be 90 days.
Can someone help me or give a details setup doc . How to install the
terminal server on sbs2003
Thanks

Configure a second server with Terminal Server. This document includes
information for planning and deploying across several common scenarios.

Whooops, may have been off on that reply...

(from a post by Roger Crawford in the thread above)
"Did you install the Licenses on the 2003 TS Server or the SBS 2000 Server?
A
2003 TS Server requires the Licensing Server Service to be running on a 2003
Server and this can be a Member Server or Domain Controller and the TS
client licenses to be installed need to be on that. I have 3 sites that are
running SBS 2000 Server along with a 2003 TS Member Server and I have found
as long as I match the number of Licenses installed on the SBS 2000 Server
on the 2003 Server I have had no problems with Licensing. This is not the
Client Access License for TS but your normal licensing. Then i just add
whatever TS Client Licenses I need to the 2003 Server. "
