Notification Workflow Stalls |
|
|
We've been running Notification Workflow for some time now, and we have a
fairly consistent issue where it will just stop sending notifications out.
It runs for a few weeks or couple months, and then notifications simply stop
going out. The only way I've been able to correct for this is to uninstall,
delete the DBs and re-install. This is terribly messy, because I have to
rebuild all my subscriptions.
Has anyone seen this, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

This is happening with MOM 2005 SP1, Notification Workflow Solution
Accelerator 2.1. MOM itself is sending alerts out correctly. Notification
Workflow is what stops sending them out after a while.

I've been running NW for about a month now and had this happen once. I simply
restarted the NS$NotificationWorkflow service and all was fine again. I am
actually in the midst of creating a management pack to catch this happening.
I noticed it left a lot of entries in the event log. I'll be posting an MP to
my site soon...

As for a fix, I don't know. I'll have to see if it happens in my environment
again.
