LCS - SIP Phone REGISTER fail 400 epid not present error |
|
|
aI am trying to connect SIP Phone(Snom 360) to LCS 2005 to make phone to PC
calls. When phone tried to register initially it gave 401 unauthorized
error. When i added the phone ip address in host authorization tab ->Treat
as authenticated it started giving this epid error. No proxy involved and
phone directly connected on the same network.
Can we use any SIP Phone with LCS with DNS. Configured the user with
ipaddress instead of dns name. There is no documentation on how to configure
the SIP Phone.
Please help .. Here is the log Trace.

These phones generally have to register with a gateway. The server supports
only NTLM/Kerberos and most phones don't handle this. The server also
requires that clients maintain connectivity so that the server never has to
create outbound connections to the client (for NAT traversal and security
reasons), but most phones don't do this as well.
