Remote Desktop 8098 |
|
|
I can run remote desktop from inside the network and start a session with the
server.
When I use remote desktop in the Web Server Administration it states: "Error
connecting to: Name. You must enable Remote Desktop on the server to use this
feature".
Port 8098 is open on the firewall.
Thank you. |

Hi,
Time to time ISPs will decide and start filtering stuff that they should not
be filtering... Also check this possibility.

happened though around the same time. I can't access my router via the IP
address. That is the only means. I have port 8080 to access the router
remotely and that no longer works. Tonight when there's some downtime, I'm
going to have to power cycle the router to see if that will work. Traffic
is
still going through the router normally, I just can't access it to
administer.

Hi,
remote desktop by default uses port TCP 3389. Could that be part of the
problem?
