I am getting Event ID 7053 followed by 4015 and 4004. My DNS server finally
gives up. I have to DC's This one has been demoted and promoted. The problem
has not gone away.

Is this Win2k or Win2k3?
Event ID 7053 is logged on your Windows 2000 Server-based computer:

The 4004 and 4015 events are rare in a multi-DC environment. Each DC sholuld
use only the otrher DC and itself for DNS, all clients must use the DCs for
DNS.

Ther are no root hints in the active directory users MicrosoftDNS. Where or
how do I restore?
