The following Warning message is NOT on a DNS-server, but on my router.

It is on a Win2k3 Standard Edition.

-------------------------------------------

The system failed to register host (A) resource records (RRs) for
network adapter
with settings:

Adapter Name : {E6B776A7-445A-4471-9848-EC78BC5B7996}
Host Name : hilsoerouter1
Primary Domain Suffix : hilsoe.local
DNS server list :
193.162.153.164, 194.239.134.83
Sent update to server : <?>
IP Address(es) :
87.49.90.62

The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS
server contacted refused the update request. The reasons for this might
be (a) you are not allowed to update the specified DNS domain name, or
(b) because the DNS server authoritative for this name does not support
the DNS dynamic update protocol.

To register the DNS host (A) resource records using the specific DNS
domain name and IP addresses for this adapter, contact your DNS server
or network systems administrator.

All clients should use the Server for DNS, not the router. Make sure you
have a reverse lookup zone for your subnet, too. If the clients use the
server for DNS, it should have these zones, and updates won't forward.

I'm pretty sure that I have the reverse lookup zone for my network.

About the router, how do I make sure that the router dosen't use the
DNS?

It is not the router using DNS, it is clients using the router for DNS that
causes the problem.
