Web Author Console Error |
|
|
Hi
When i open the web author console and click 'create new page' i get a white
screen with the error:
"Error has occured. Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
We are implementing a shared development environment here. I think this
error may be due to the manual virtual directory i needed to create. The
suggested directory is '<install directory>/Microsoft Content Management
Server/IIS_CMS' which doesnt exist. However, an 'IIS_CMS' directory does
exist under the service pack and 'Server' directory. I have tried using both
of these and am still getting the same error?
Any ideas?
Many Thanks |

Hi Faisal,
you need to link this to the Server\IIS_CMS directory.
Is there an exception stack trace in the error message?
Cheers,
Stefan

I have tried the Server\IIS_CMS directory but it didn't solve the error. The
error may be completely unrelated to the virtual directory. Unfortunately no
stack trace?

developer) and it seems to have fixed the error i was receiving!? i have
deleted the template but cant reproduce the error and all seems well.
