Company Knowledge? |

Does anyone have any idea if the company knowledge capacity in MOM2005 can be
increased?
And if so where and how do accomplish this. |

I don't know exactly what you mean with increasing the capacity, but you |
cvan use http links in it that direct to a url. This could be off course
a document in sharepoint or maybe a public folder in exchange etc etc

What i am refering to is the limited space to input to.
I would like to input procedures for our command center and also allow the
resolution to be placed here so that if the alert occurs again the resolution
will be documented with the alert. With the http link it wouldn't be alert
specific but for any alert would take you to the same page.

Hmm, i can put quite some text in it per rule, but that's not enouvgh |
for you obviously.
Regarding the http link, in the Admin console go to the rule you want to
edit the company knowledge for... Then got ot company knowledge
and`click edit, now you
've got a dialog box in which at the top right corner ther is the link
button. As you now may notice, i didn't mean the global settings one.
But you might also want ot go into author mode in the admin console and
then do some knowledge authoring on the rule

Daniel, I am in authoring mode but I can not write in the text area on the
knowledge authoring tab it's greyed out. I can write on the knowledge base
tab. Is this the spot you are refering to? If so, we were using this area for
our knowledge but only inputing from the operator console. Is this area less
limited when inputting from the author mode?
Thanks, J.R.

If you did not create the rule you can't add to the author knowledge.
Try pasting into the Company Knowledge section. I just pasted the entire
text of Oedipus Rex into it and it worked, so there should be enough room
there for you.

Hi JR, |
As most MP authoring is done from the Admin console it is most likely
done from that.
I can say that my testing was from the Admin console and it worked
pretty good.
Just tested the ops console and also in that one i can past the whole
text from http://classics.mit.edu/Sophocles/oedipus.html
Are you sure it is the company knowledge and not the dialog box after
you put the alert to resolved state? Because that one is indeed limited
in the amoutn of text you can input. so please indicate the name of the
dialog box you are putting the text in.
