I am new to MOM and we have a MOM server running already in our envoirenment.
I recently took this job as Network Admin.

My Manager has asked me to configure e-mail alerts for "Failed Logon
Attempts to Active Directory", I know you have responded but I am still not
able to get it going.

This is my test lab ...

One 2003 AD DC, One member server with SQL2000 and MOM2005 EVAL and a client
running Windows XPP and internet access. All hooked to one small seperate
LAN.

Please advise. Screen shots will be helpful and/or specific walk through
instructions.

Thank you in advance.

Find all the rules that deal with failed logons, and add a email response to
each of the rules. Push the config changes and everything should be golden.

Blake:

Where can I find the settings, does MOM have a built in SMTP engine?

Thanks,

No. You have to create notification groups and in the global settings you
have to tell mom where you smtp server is. Did the previous guy never set
this up?
