Unable detect Quorum |
|
|
Hi,
I'm ran Cluster setup to create a new cluster (ie. on the 1st node) and the
setup checked that it couldn't detect my quorum drive, and will use local
quorum instead.
the error code is 0x0713de
The quorum drive, is assigned Q:\, and located in SAN, and already formatted
as NTFS partition.
Any ideas?
TIA |

You have two HBAs in there that are multipathed? Unplug one and setup your
quorum resource.

Yes, there are 2 HBAs on each node, and it's multipathed (actually 4 paths)
to the SAN too. I've tried disabling all the paths, leaving only 1 path. It
still give me the same error.

Setup will give you details, just keep clicking on the red x's. Before
setup, where you able to see the drive and assign it a drive letter? Did you
repeat with from each node, with the other nodes turned off?
Cheers,
Rod

hi!
where are the system disks located?
can the quorum disks correctly be seen with the same drive letter on all the
cluster nodes?

Physically disconnect the fiber from one, don't just shutdown the paths in
powerpath or dmp or whatever.

Re: Unable detect Quorum |

Hi all,
The system disks are local (ie. C:\, D:\ etc.)
The shared disks (ie. Q:\, R:\ etc) are on the SAN.
Each node has 2 HBAs to the fibre switches. and the SAN has 2 paths to the
fibre switch as well.
The nodes were booted up one at a time to format and assign same drive
letters.
There's no problem with the shared disks. I've tested file copy etc. to all
the shared disks (via each node). Even during cluster setup, I can access the
disks.
Now I've tried removing one of the fibre cable from the node, but still
encounter the same error.
