I would like to delegate administration of a particular DNS zone and Reverse
Lookup entries to a set of users without giving them full control of all
other zones on our DNS servers. DNS is only hosted on the Windows 2003 AD
Domain Controllers. To date I have added a group for this access to have
Read access to the Domain\System\MicrosoftDNS container in AD and have used
the Security tabs in the relevant zones to allow the same group full control.
When the users in this group attempt a connection to the DNS server using
the DNS MMC then they get access denied. If anyone can advise a) if this is
possible? and then b) how? I would appreciate it.
