You may want to touch base in the Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP support
newsgroups (or Windows 98 if you are running 98). If you can note how you
got here, I would be more than happy to backtrack your steps and get you
pointed in the right direction. It may be something as simple as a registry
change...or it may be something that can't be changed.
This newsgroup is dedicated to Microsoft's Live Communication Server. LCS
is a Real-Time Collaboration product that provides internal Instant
Messaging (IM) capabilities and presence awareness. LCS also includes
functionality to archive Instant Messages to a SQL server.
LCS is popular with corporations and organizations who don't want to give up
the benefits of IM and presence, but require a solution to be brought
in-house so that they may meet their compliance objectives, such as
archiving and secure communications.
More information regarding Live Communication Server can be found at:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/livecomm/prodinfo/overview.mspx
or

The Microsoft support site is http://support.microsoft.com and has support
centers related to many Microsoft products.
