Hi

I have been asked to investigate how we can incorporate Content
Management Server 2002 postings into our wider document management
cycle.

We are using an electronic document management system and I thought we
might generate a word document from a CMS posting, which we could then
put into our EDMS. Alternatively, generate a CMS posting from a Word
document, still putting the Word document into our EDMS.

To me, the latter seems a better way to go, but I was just wondering
what experiences people had had in tackling this issue.

The MCMS Authoring Connector provides a ready solution for the creation of
postings from Word documents.

Here's a free chapter from the book "Building Websites with Microsoft
Content Management Server" that discusses Authoring Connector in detail:
