Is it possible to change a password on a Win XP PC when the domain is
unavailable? It used to be allowed on Win2K (KB149176).

The situations is this:

1. Employee leaves on long term trip
2. Employee has password issue, necessitating change.
3. Helpful admin changes password in AD.
4. Helpful admin attempts to walk employee through corresponding change
on workstation. Gets error indicating unable to change password while
domain is unavailable.

Also, unable to set AD password back to original because complexity
policy has changed. Nothing easy is easy.

Thanks in advance.
