clustered file share... |
|
|
Hello,
Thanks for all the replies. I am using VMWARE to create the clustered
environment for testing
Do you mean, that, I need to add same physical disk resource and the
share in both the groups? I had attempted to add testshare in both the
groups but it failed with duplicate object name.
Also, one thing that wonders me is, why should it lead to corrupting
NTFS partition?
Basically I want to be able access \\NC\share irrespective of which
node is running (N1 OR N2). Is there any guide that explains
step-by-step instructions to achieve this?
Thanks.

If that's all you're looking for, then you are confusing us with the term
"active/active".
Here's a link that describes how to create file shares on a cluster:

No, they can't both be the same physical disk resource if you want them to
be running in an active-active configuration. As stated earlier in this
thread, you need two cluster groups with an IP, a network name, and the
shared resources.

You can't achieve this if they are going to be active-active. |
