Hi!

I'm trying to set up printers on my HIS. I've defined the link, connection
and so on. But when it comes to establishing the printer session I'm stuck.

I get the message 715 0 in the AS/400 which means -You have not provided a
user and a password.

Anyone who can help?

Thanks! But I solved the problem. When I configured the print session I had
the same name on both the local lu and the AS/400 device name. I just changed
the as400 device name and there it was - status insession -. In the old
SNA-Server 3.0 you could have the same name.

Spitzer - as no-one else has answered.... I'm no AS/400 person, but this does
sound like an AS/400 config issue rather than a HIS issue. The AS/400
shouldn't even know there's a HIS server there.

Do 5250 terminal connections work ok over the same connection?

AS/400 processes can probably be configured to use an AS/400 RACF user to run
under. Could this config be missing? Can the AS/400 print to locally attached
printers ok from the same print subsystem?
