I am considering enabling disk compression on a data volume which consists
of 3, 18GB disks in a raid 5 configuration.

Are there any issue or precautions I should take in consideration?

The system is a SBS 2000 with 1 GB of memory and two Pentium 3 1.26GHZ
processors,

Performance is not an issue but disk space.

Thanks

Steve

I wouldn't go that route ... and your performance would take a hit.

Do yourself a favor and get three new 36gb or 72gb drives; backup your
current data set and replace your old drives with the new drives.

I would think it would be disk space. What do you think.
