Hi,
looking for infos regarding the migration of SBS 2000 to new hardware
someone suggested to image the old server (which is still working), then to
restore the images on the new server hardware. Then to boot the new server
with the Windows 2000 Server installation CD, i.e. the first SBS 2000 CD,
load the driver for the controller (raid) and then to repair the Windows 2000
Server installation on the new server.
Has anyone tried this? Is it likely to work?

Any help would be highly appreaciated!
Regards
Ueli

It depends on (1) how different the new h/w is to the old h/w, and (2) how
long you can afford to have your current server down.

If you cannot afford your current server to be down for very long, consider
looking at Jeff's Swing Migration at www.sbsmigration.com
