Registrar Recomendations |
|
|
Anyone have any recomendations on a good registrar for business domain
names? I have 7-10 business entities that I need to maintain and manage DNS,
etc
I would like to get them all under one registrar and management but Network
solutions is too expensive at $35 per year per domain and I have had bad
experiences with other registrars (screwed up DNS, out of business, etc)
Anyone recommend a business class registrar that has good client side DNS
management tools along with being relatively cheap for yearly registrations?
Thanks

I use Domains Priced Right, which runs under Wild West Domains as the
Registrar, I think it is a part of GoDaddy. $8 a year but I use my own DNS
servers, so I don't know about how easy their DNS management is.

GoDaddy. They had already taken my DNS business from Register.Com
(which is 3-4 times as expensive and not as technically full featured) and
when WELL AFTER I gave them my dedicated server business they sent
me an $140 rebate since they lowered the yearly price.
Most of the time you get the break on the "yearly" vs. monthly rate to lock
in their profits but these guys just SENT me the rebate when they changed
the price months later.
(Ok they did give it in credit but since I have plenty of business with them
and can even use it to extend my server rental it matters not a bit to me.)

GoDaddy.com
Best in the business for value. Also the cheapest. I prefer them over
register.com or networksolutions.com.

Godaddy is crap. Not that Net solutions is much better.
I made the mistake of registering my domains with godaddy
and hosting sites with them. A nightmare from day one until
canceled my account. |

I have had big successes with Lycos. They have seamed to run all my domains
well and the CP is easy to use
not one that I think would be good but surprisingly is

What specific problems did you have?
Did you call them to resolve the problem(s)?
