Greetings,
I have been following a number of different threads re: issues with
permissions. I haven't uninstalled sp1 although I may do so after finding a
solution to my new problem.

Switched from 2000 server to 2003 and to FP2002 extensions. SInce the change,
have had no end of permission problems, users unable to login and publish and
now, after removing FP extensions I no longer have a roles.ini file. Anywhere.
From what I understand, this file should be located here:

C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\
Web Server Extensions\

I do not have this path on my win2003 server. The closest thing matching is
the following:

C:\programs\common files\microsoft shared\web server extensions\ (and either
folder "50" or folder "60"

I've been looking and looking for an answer but do not know where to put my
new roles.ini file so that I can utilize the add roles/users with fp
extensions admin

I'm completely baffled. And I've done a search looking for any roles. ini
file and not one to be found.
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Since our migration newsgroup is focused on the process of migration
between 2 domains. I think following newsgroup should be more approprate
for your issue:

microsoft.public.windows.server.general

Thanks for understanding.
