SBS 2000 Rebuild |
|
|
Our server needs a rebuild - the problems are many. We have upgraded the
licensing by purchasing and installing 5 user upgrades. How do we uninstall
them so that we can reinstall them after a rebuild? |

It has been a long time since I have had to do it - but SBS2000 used
diskettes for the client license increment.
When you added the license - you were to have noted on the diskette the
increment order - i.e. 6 to 10 licenses, 11 to 15, etc.
As long as you put the license diskettes back in proper order on the new
build (you only have one - right?) then it should be OK.
If you do have a problem - call MS and they can assist in resetting the
license key.

Hey Cal,
IIRC, as long as you know which floppy was the last set of licenses that you
added, you can just insert it and it will bring the server back up to the
number of licenses you had previously installed.
