Hi,

I have been getting problems trying to move the MSDTC resource from the
default cluster group running on Windows 2003

Steps I have taken

read both KB Articles 817064 and 301600.

1. I installed Cluster Admin on node 1
2. Added the second Nod2.
3. cluster fails over successfully.
4. Installed Enable Network DTC on both nodes KB 817064
5. MSDTC is now installed in the default cluster group on the quorum drive.
6. I create a new cluster group and create all the resources advised in KB
301600
7. deleted MSDTC resource in cluster group and recreated it in the MSDTC
group.
8. assigin the correct drives, network name etc.
9. when i try to bring the group online it fails. when it tries to failover
to the other node it fails.

Can someone tel me what i am doing wrong here, i know the new MSDTC disk,
network name and IP address fails over without any problems.

Is there a easy way of getting this to work, can i install MSDTC into its
own group from the start?
