Is it possible to show files from different systems in one (virtual) folder?
I have 4 systems running an application which creates files. Next i want to
have all the files from all the 4 systems shown in one folder. But I don's
want to copy or replicate the files between all the machines because it will
increase traffic to much.

So in short I want to see all files from 4 different systems in one folder
directory. But the physical source of the file will still be on the original
machine.

I tried DFS but it can only create links to 4 different folders or you have
one link with 4 targets but the targets need to replicate before you can see
all the files.

Hope someone has a brilliant idea...

kind regards
Edwin

You cannot do this with the default tools available to you in Windows.
There might be third-party stuff that does this, but I don't know of it.

The new Windows products will do this if all of the files reside on one box,
through the new virtual folders. But I know of no way of creating virtual
folders for disparate file shares.
