We're running SBS2000 but find that we have a need to have a backup domain
controller. The SBS machine has gone down a couple of times and this caused
a glitch in our operations. Is there a way to use one of our 2003 standard
servers as a backup domain controller?

If they are already a member of the domain, no problem
You will need to run ADPREP prior to running DCPROMO on the 2k3 server
